My name is Charles Ray Owens, PhD. I was born in Dumas, Texas in August of 1953. You do the math. I married my bride Penny in May 1973. You do the math. I went to school at Ouachita Baptist University for a semester, Alvin Community College for a semester and graduated with a BS from Houston Baptist University in 1975 (Now Houston Christian University). I earned a Master’s degree in psychology from University of Houston at Clear Lake City in 1977. We moved to Utah and attended Utah State University and earned a PhD in 1984. I taught in the Department of Psychological Sciences at William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri from 1983 to 2018 when I retired. We have two adult daughters Candace who married Scott and Amy who married Chris. We have two wonderful grandchildren Logan and Charlotte.
We love to travel. We were fortunate to live and teach in Harlaxton College in England for a semester on two different occasions in 1993 and 2007. I taught in Hong Kong for a semester in 2010.
We have traveled to 45 different countries and enjoyed them all!
We are going to keep traveling until the money or the health runs out!
